A new affordable housing community for seniors is opening soon in North County, and applications are now being accepted. La Sabila, developed by nonprofit partner Wakeland Housing, will provide 85 thoughtfully designed, pet-friendly homes for low-income adults age 62 and older.

More than just housing, La Sabila offers an independent lifestyle with comfort and convenience at its core, including on-site resident services and supportive amenities. Half of the homes at La Sabila – 42 units – are reserved for seniors exiting homelessness, with 21 set aside for those with special needs, ensuring that the most vulnerable seniors find dignity, stability and hope.

What makes La Sabila unique is the focus on wraparound health and wellness services to help residents age in place with dignity. Through West PACE, qualifying residents will have access to comprehensive care, including case management, behavioral health support, health and wellness classes, and daily living assistance.
