The Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a model designed specifically for seniors aged 55+ who qualify for a nursing home but prefer being as independent as possible.
We understand that many seniors are often at the verge of requiring the full time care provided by living in a nursing home, but feel reluctant towards the idea as they’d rather spend their golden days at home. With the level of daily assistance needed, however, it is not always possible to rely on the care from family members.
This is where PACE bridges the gap.
The program offers top-tier levels of care at home, free transportation, a full-spectrum of medical care, rehabilitative services, and even a senior daycare center.
Activities for PACE Members at the San Marcos Senior Center & Adult Daycare
Caring for the elderly is a rewarding experience for our team at the Gary and Mary West PACE center. We love helping seniors to stay independent, live a wholesome life with dignity, make friends and be part of a supportive community. These are things that can’t always be done at home.
That’s why Gary and Mary West PACE operates a safe, secure, and vibrant adult daycare center located in San Marcos, California, explicitly designed for the unique needs of PACE participants.
At the West PACE senior center participants can indulge in activities like:
- Staying active, meeting new friends, and being part of a community
- Enjoying social and recreational programs (e.g. bingo, pet therapy, music entertainment and guests)
- Participating in group and individual exercise programs (i.e. yoga, arts and crafts)
- Enjoying a cup of coffee or hot lunch served daily with their PACE friends (and tailored to meet their unique nutritional needs and/or dietary restrictions)
We employ trained professionals who specialize in caring for the elderly. Our day center team consists of:
- Primary care physicians
- Social volunteers
- Home care workers
- Occupational therapists
- Recreation therapists
During COVID we will be bringing activity kits to participants’ homes and utilizing telehealth technology to keep our staff and participants connected to each other and their community during this time of social distancing.

Ready to Enroll in the PACE Day Center Program?
The path to old age is full of hurdles, but it can be made a lot easier with the right support. At Gary and Mary West PACE, we help our participants to age with confidence and dignity.
We understand that feelings of loneliness have a negative impact upon an individual’s physical and mental health, and that they may contribute to cognitive decline. Seniors who are imbued with a sense of purpose are less likely to succumb to the negative effects of social isolation and loneliness.
We work with our participants in an effort to provide them a vibrant social life, to reduce feelings of pessimism about the future, and to give them something to look forward to.
If you, or a loved one, are looking to participate in fun activities, build new friendships and feel part of a community, all the while receiving the healthcare and daily support you need, then consider our adult daycare facility.
